Sectors and exports

According to the Chamber of Commerce, in 2024 the province's exports were 22,725 million euros, down 1.1% on 2023, and Vicenza dropped off the podium of exporting provinces, overtaken by Milan, Turin and Florence. The largest item is jewellery, with almost 2.5 billion and growth of 14.9% helped by the price of gold; basic chemicals and fertilisers also grew, to over 600 million (+15.1%), while other metal products (-12.5%) and clothing (-9.4%) fell. Machinery and tanned leather are also among the main items. Europe takes 63.9% of exports; Germany remains the largest market (10.9% of manufacturing exports) but fell by 9.2%, while Turkey is the fastest-growing market (+22.8%).

Job centre

Vicenza's Centro per l'impiego (public job centre) is at via Legione Gallieno 31, which also houses the area coordination office and the targeted-placement office for people with disabilities. Like every job centre in Veneto it sees people by appointment only, booked through the Veneto Lavoro assistance portal or on the single number 049 7448041.
