Getting around Vicenza: SVT buses and winter restrictions
Urban, suburban and extra-urban buses are run by SVT, which also operates on-demand and evening services and the bus station. From October to April the most polluting vehicles may not circulate from 8:30 to 18:30 in the area set by the anti-smog ordinance.

Buses
SVT, Società Vicentina Trasporti, runs Vicenza's urban and suburban network, the province's extra-urban lines and the urban networks of Bassano del Grappa, Valdagno and Recoaro Terme; in the city it also offers the on-demand services PeriMetrò and Serale Vicenza and the CentroBus service. Vicenza bus station is open Monday to Saturday from 5:00 to 21:00, with shorter hours on holidays. Urban timetables change during the year (the latest update was on 8 October 2026) and the 2026/27 student passes kept the previous year's fares.
Car
From 1 October to 30 April the anti-smog ordinance bans, from 8:30 to 18:30, the most polluting vehicles in the area of the municipality shown on the map: on weekdays at green level, every day at orange and red. Anyone arriving with an older diesel or petrol car should check its Euro class before driving into the city.
