Hospital and emergency room
The city hospital of the AUSL della Romagna is the "Infermi", Rimini's hospital complex at viale Settembrini 2, a level-II DEA (emergency and acceptance department) site with an emergency room. The complex also houses the outpatient clinic, the blood-draw point and the internal booking centre (CIP).
CAU: low-complexity urgent care
Rimini's Assistance and Urgency Centre (CAU), on via Ovidio, is open every day including holidays from 8am to 8pm: out-of-hours doctors and nurses treat urgent but low-complexity problems, as an alternative to the emergency room. The visit and some tests (ECG, certain blood tests) are free for residents and people registered with the Region; for everyone else the visit costs 20 euro. For serious conditions always call 118; waiting times for CAUs and emergency rooms are shown in the "Pronto Soccorso Romagna" app.
