The port
The port of Ravenna is the only seaport in Emilia-Romagna. The president of the Port System Authority describes it as a multipurpose port able to receive every category of goods; the Authority presents it as Italy's leader for trade with the markets of the eastern Mediterranean and the Black Sea, with almost 40% of the national total excluding coal and petroleum products. The Authority, based at via Antico Squero 31, plans and coordinates port operations, manages state maritime property, maintains the seabed depths and builds the major works; its website has a dedicated port-employment portal.
Energy
Off the Ravenna coast a breakwater is being built to protect the BW Singapore regasification vessel, with completion scheduled for the end of 2027.
Services for job seekers
Ravenna's Informagiovani, in Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste (entrance at via Luca Longhi 9), provides free information and advice on jobs, training, volunteering and mobility abroad, plus guidance interviews; it works by appointment and has a branch at Lido Adriano.
