Housing: public housing by municipal call and rent contribution

Public housing belongs to the Comune and is allocated through a call and ranking (regional law 2/2019); management is entrusted to E.R.P. Lucca S.r.l. within the L.O.D.E. Lucchese. A regional and municipal rent contribution also exists. The source dates from 2020: check. Rents and prices are in the data.

Public housing (ERP)

According to the Comune's services guide (version of 7 June 2020), public housing (ERP) units belong to the Comune di Lucca and are assigned to people in economic difficulty, with rents linked to income. Management, maintenance and new construction go through the L.O.D.E. Lucchese, the area grouping the 33 municipalities of the province, and the company managing the homes is E.R.P. Lucca S.r.l., with which the lease is signed.

How to apply

To enter the ranking you must take part in the call, which the Comune publishes at least every four years, with updates every one or two years; the application is made on the official form, on paper or online, with the documents and the revenue stamp, by the deadline. Italian, EU and non-EU citizens with a residence permit can apply (the latter must live or work in Lucca on the publication date), meeting the requirements of Tuscan regional law 2/2019. A provisional ranking is posted on the municipal notice board, then the final one after any appeals.

Rent contribution and contacts

For people renting on the private market with a regular lease, the same guide describes a rent contribution funded by Regione Toscana with additional municipal funds, reserved for residents of the rented home who meet economic requirements. The Housing Office (U.O. 2.2) was at via S. Giustina 32 and the contact for ERP enquiries was 0583 442618 or 0583 442588.

The guide dates from 2020: deadlines, thresholds, addresses and numbers may have changed. Check the Comune di Lucca website or the Housing Office before acting.
