Comune and documents

Registry services (residence, certificates, electronic ID card) are requested at the municipal desks in the centre and at the Lido, by booking an appointment; the Comune has a portal to request certificates online with a digital identity. State and regional offices are spread between the centre (Prefecture, court, tax agency) and the Germaneto Cittadella (regional offices), reachable by bus but more conveniently by car.

Waste

Waste collection is door-to-door across the city, with a weekly calendar by zone (centre, hill districts, Lido, Germaneto) and bags or bins per fraction; bulky items on request and a municipal collection centre. The TARI waste tax is paid to the Comune, which publishes rates and deadlines. Information on the calendar and the contracted operator is on the Comune's website.

Water, libraries, shopping

Water is supplied in bulk by Sorical, the regional company, and distributed by the Comune: it is drinkable, but in the upper hill districts scheduled interruptions occur in summer because of scarcity; many households have a pump and tank. The Filippo De Nobili municipal library, at Villa Trieste, offers lending and study rooms; the university library is in Germaneto. For shopping, local markets in the centre and at the Lido and supermarkets and shopping centres in Germaneto and along Viale dei Normanni.
