Tram
In the quartiere the Linea Rossa splits. The northern branch reaches the Fiera via viale Aldo Moro, in the middle of the avenue next to the row of plane trees and on a grassed track bed, via della Fiera and viale Europa, ending at Terminal Fiera Michelino, near the Fiera's east entrance, with an upgraded park-and-ride.
The eastern branch leaves at via Serena, runs along viale della Repubblica and via San Donato (on a dedicated double track from via Ferravilla to via Kharkov, then in mixed traffic), enters Pilastro from via Pirandello and continues along via Casini, via Frati and via Sighinolfi to the terminus on viale Fanin, near the Faculty of Agriculture. Between the stop south of via Ferravilla/via Andreini and the Cadriano Bivio stop, beyond the motorway overpass, the tram will run on battery power, with no overhead wires.
According to the Comune's schedule, the Linea Rossa is to enter service in 2027.
Buses
Pilastro is the terminus of lines 20 and 14C; lines 55 and 35 have a Pilastro stop. On via Casini there are parking spaces for disabled people near the library.
