Cost of living: ATP passes by group and rent support
ATP offers reduced passes for students under 28, priced by ISEE, for students aged 28 to 35 and for over-65s; the ordinary monthly pass is transferable and can be shared within a family. The Comune pays the regional rent contribution to tenants whose rent is high relative to their ISEE. Rents, OMI prices and the pass price are in the data.

City buses
ATP's ordinary weekly and monthly passes are not personal: the same pass can be used, on separate journeys, by several people in the same household or workplace. There are reduced monthly and annual passes for students under 28, with two fares depending on whether ISEE is below or above the threshold, for students aged 28 to 35 and for people over 65; a dedicated annual pass is reserved for university students receiving an ERSU grant with ISEE below the threshold. There are also experimental integrated «area vasta» passes and tickets for people with disabilities.
Rent contribution
Through the rent-support fund (law 431/1998, art. 11) the Comune refunds part of the rent to Sassari residents with a registered lease on their main home. The contribution equals the year's rent minus the share deemed affordable, 14% of ISEE for band A and 24% for band B, up to a cap; it can rise by up to 25% for households with over-65s, people with disabilities, single parents with minor children or at least three children. For 2026 applications closed on 29 September; details are in the Housing section.
