Hospital and emergency room
The city hospital is the Santo Spirito, a hospital of the Pescara ASL; the authority's website shows the emergency-room situation in real time. The hospital's CUP desk, at via Fonte Romana 8, is open weekdays 8:00–19:00 and Saturdays 8:00–13:00.
Bookings
With a referral from your GP or specialist you can book through the CUP: by phone on the toll-free number 800 827 827 from landlines (0872 226 from mobiles), Monday to Friday 8:00–18:00 and Saturday 8:00–13:00; online on the ASL citizen portal (portalecittadino.asl.pe.it), which also lets you move or cancel appointments, pay, and check waiting lists; or at the CUP desks at the hospital, Pescara Nord and Pescara Sud. Cancellations must be made at least two working days before the appointment.
