According to ARTA Abruzzo's preliminary 2025 report, no station in the region exceeded the annual PM10 limit or the maximum number of days above the daily threshold; Pescara's stations nonetheless have the highest PM10 values in Abruzzo, with via Sacco in first place. PM2.5 and nitrogen dioxide also stayed within limits, with higher values in the Pescara-Chieti agglomeration than in the rest of the region.
Ozone is the summer weak point: at via Sacco, as at Chieti Scalo, the health-protection target value was exceeded on more days than allowed. ARTA notes that Saharan dust episodes can push PM10 up and that the annual mean is the more reliable indicator.
