Waste
MessinaServizi Bene Comune S.p.A., the Comune's in-house environmental services company (operational office at via Gagini 21-29), runs door-to-door collection, with separate calendars for households and businesses and for the north, centre and south zones. Municipal drop-off centres and waste stations, such as those at Giampilieri, Pistunina, Spartà, Tremonti, Gravitelli and Maregrosso, are accessible 24 hours with a personal card requested online. Pick-up of bulky items, electrical waste (RAEE), grass cuttings and prunings is booked on a dedicated portal; the toll-free number is 800 042 222.
Library
The «Tommaso Cannizzaro» municipal library is at viale Boccetta 373, the same address as the Palacultura «Antonello da Messina».
