Housing: two-yearly call for public housing and homes for housing emergencies
The Comune of Macerata publishes the call for public-housing homes every two years; applications are online only with SPID or CIE, with help from partner CAF tax-assistance centres and unions, and the ranking lasts two years. Vacant homes are notified by ERAP. Market rents and prices are in the data.

Public-housing call
Every two years the Comune publishes a call for the allocation of public-housing (ERP) homes, as provided by the municipal regulation updated in 2022. Applications go to the public-housing office and can only be submitted online with SPID or CIE credentials; for help in filling them in, applicants can turn to the partner CAF centres and unions listed on the service page. The application requires a 16-euro revenue stamp.
- Italian or other EU citizenship, or an EU long-term residence permit or a residence permit valid for two years
- Residence or work in the Comune of Macerata
- Not owning more than 25% of, or holding another real right over, a home adequate for the household, wherever it is
- Not having previously received a public home as owner or with a future-sale agreement, with the exceptions provided
- Citizens registered with AIRE (Italians abroad) need a simulated ISEE calculated with the INPS procedure
Ranking and other homes
The ranking is published on the Comune's notice board and website and remains valid for two years: homes are allocated as ERAP notifies their availability. For social and housing emergencies the Giunta has approved guidelines for the temporary allocation of Comune-owned homes, also to families not on the ranking. In via Pavese 43/45 the Comune has allocated eighteen accessible homes with home automation to households over 65, with a tutor family providing supervision and assistance.
