Who covers the city
Imperia is in ASL 1 Imperiese (head office at via Aurelia Ponente 97, Bussana di Sanremo) and in the Imperia health district, which also includes coastal and Arroscia Valley municipalities such as Diano Marina, Pontedassio and Pieve di Teco. The main district office in the city is the Palasalute, at via Lorenzo Acquarone 9; the Medicina convenzionata e protesica office is at via Nizza 6.
Palasalute: CUP, vaccinations, family clinic
At the Palasalute the site lists the CUP booking desk (floor 0), the Prevention Department's vaccination clinic (floor 1) and the family clinic (consultorio) with gynaecological, obstetric and paediatric clinics (floor 2). Imperia hospital
ASL 1's site lists the Ospedale Imperia among the health authority's hospitals, with departments including medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics and neonatology, anaesthesia and intensive care. The page consulted does not give the hospital's address or describe the emergency department: for real-time emergency-room data the ASL points to the regional Pronto Soccorso Live service; for emergencies, 112.
Out-of-hours doctor
The continuity-of-care service has a free toll-free number, 800554400. It is active every day from 20:00 to 08:00 and, on Saturdays, Sundays, pre-holidays and holidays, also from 08:00 to 20:00. For people not resident in Liguria and not temporarily registered in the regional health register, a home visit costs 35 euro and a clinic visit 20 euro (only where a clinic is active), payable to the doctor by POS. The page does not give a clinic address in Imperia.
