Studying in Frosinone: the Licinio Refice Conservatory

Frosinone hosts the Licinio Refice Music Conservatory: a school started in 1970, then a branch of Rome's Santa Cecilia from 1972, established as a state conservatory in 1974. The DiSCo residences listed in the province are in Cassino, not Frosinone.

Licinio Refice Conservatory

The Conservatory grew out of a music school started in Frosinone in 1970 with municipal support; in October 1972 classes began at a branch of Rome's Santa Cecilia, and D.P.R. no. 646 of 3 May 1974 formally established the state conservatory. It is named after Licinio Refice, a composer born in Patrica in 1883 and died in Rio de Janeiro in 1954, a priest and reformer of sacred music. The website organises its offer into preparatory courses, three-year and two-year degrees, masterclasses and free courses, plus masters and doctorates.

Housing for out-of-town students

DiSCo Lazio's list of university residences includes Viterbo and Cassino (Residenza Folcara) but not Frosinone city; anyone looking for a right-to-study bed must check with DiSCo, which assigns them through the annual call to out-of-town students of universities with a legal seat in Lazio.
