Daily life: residence via ANPR or at the counter, ID card by appointment, door-to-door collection with A.S.I.T.E.
In Fermo a change of residence is declared online on ANPR or with the ministerial form handed in at the registry counter by appointment, or sent by e-mail, PEC or registered post. The electronic identity card is requested by booking. Waste is collected door to door with colour-coded containers; the TARI user code is needed for the San Martino recycling centre.

Residence
People arriving from another municipality or from abroad, or changing address within the city, can declare it online on the ANPR (national resident population register) website with SPID, CIE or CNS, or with the paper ministerial form, to be handed in at the registry (anagrafe) counter after a phone appointment, e-mailed to the registry office, sent by certified e-mail (PEC) to the civil registration services or by registered post to the municipality (via Mazzini 4). The paper declaration must be signed by every adult, with copies of the documents of those moving, and the right to occupy the property must be proven.
Electronic identity card
The CIE is requested by booking at the municipal offices, only for a first issue, theft or loss (with a police report), damage or expiry (renewal is possible in the six months before). At the counter applicants hand over their tax code, pay, have photo, fingerprints and signature recorded (the last two from age 12) and choose whether to receive the card at an address or collect it at the town hall.
Waste
Separate collection in Fermo is door to door, with colour-coded containers: white for paper and cardboard, yellow for plastic, brown for food waste, grey for non-recyclable waste, green for cans and glass; nappies and sanitary products go in a dedicated container. On its waste page the municipality points to the company A.S.I.T.E. srl, which publishes the door-to-door guide and calendar on its website. The TARI user code is needed to book the collection of bulky waste and garden cuttings and to enter the recycling centre (ecocentro) in contrada San Martino; only waste already sorted is accepted there.
