Castello di Carlo V

The Comune describes the Castello di Carlo V as one of the largest fortresses in Italy: it has a square plan, keeps the form of the Aragonese period and was strengthened with sloping bastions under Charles V, with an extent of over 14,000 sq m. In 2018 it joined the «Terre Martiniane» network, tied to Francesco di Giorgio Martini. Address: piazza Castello 33. Admissions are managed by the Associazione Multitracce; hours vary by period and should be checked on the Comune's page or the dedicated site.

Visit Crotone and routes

Visit Crotone, the tourist portal the Comune links to, presents places of interest (monuments, museums, archaeological areas, churches, historic buildings and natural sites) and four routes: historical-archaeological, cultural, natural and marine; it also has events and news sections and content in several languages. The Comune also has pages on cruise tourism, the Pro Loco Infopoint and how to reach Crotone.

Tourist tax

The Comune points to the PayTourist platform for managing, monitoring and paying the tourist tax; the platform also promotes local accommodation.

The pages consulted do not describe Capo Colonna, the archaeological museum or the marine reserves with specific text: for these places use the «Archeologia», «Musei» and «Parchi» sections of Visit Crotone.
