Care delivery belongs to ASST Lariana, whose legal seat is at via Napoleona 60, Como, and which runs the Sant'Anna, Sant'Antonio Abate and Erba-Renaldi (Menaggio) hospitals and the Mariano Comense facility.
Hospital and emergency room
The Sant'Anna hospital is at via Ravona 20, San Fermo della Battaglia (switchboard 031.5851). The entry describes it as a high-complexity facility and the seat of a level-II DEA; the emergency room is open every day, 24 hours, with a separate obstetric-gynaecological emergency room, also 24 hours for acute gynaecological conditions.
Family doctor
Choosing or changing the family doctor and paediatrician can be done online through ASST Lariana's “Scelta e Revoca” or “Zerocoda” services, through the Fascicolo Sanitario Elettronico, at a pharmacy, or in person at the Scelta e revoca offices of the reference territorial seat; the health-record and pharmacy routes work only for doctors who have not reached their patient cap, and online you can only choose a doctor in your own territorial area. The page does not give addresses or hours for the Como offices: ask the CUP or the URP.
Community house, out-of-hours doctor and bookings
The Casa di Comunità di Como is at via Napoleona 60; the ASST's facilities also include the Ospedale di Comunità di Como and a Continuità Assistenziale Como (out-of-hours doctor) site, whose hours the pages consulted do not give. To book visits and tests call 800.638.638; the ASST says integration with the regional CUP is operational and that regional channels are best tried first.
