Municipal counters for electoral registry and similar services are by appointment, bookable from the Comune's website. The Biblioteca comunale Paolo Borsellino leads the Como intermunicipal library system and holds the legal deposit for the province.

Municipal offices
The Comune di Como has a “Prenota appuntamento” (book an appointment) service on its portal and notes that access to the electoral registry and cemetery-service counters is by appointment only. The switchboard answers on +39.031.2521.
Libraries
The Biblioteca comunale Paolo Borsellino holds a rich collection, is both a conservation and a public-lending library, holds the legal deposit for the province of Como and leads the intermunicipal library system. The Comune also lists municipal nurseries, the Pinacoteca civica and the four civic museums among its places.
