Housing: IPES social housing
Social housing belongs to IPES, a provincial institute: social-rent homes, hostels for workers and student residences. Rankings are split by municipality and by language group; non-EU citizens form a separate group. Applications can be made all year, online or at the counters, after filing the DURP declaration.

How to apply
The Social Housing Institute (IPES) of the Autonomous Province offers social-rent homes for families, older people, people with disabilities and social categories, hostels for workers and student residences. Applications for social-rent housing can be submitted at any time of the year online, on the IPES portal, or at the IPES counters (by appointment) or the municipality; first the DURP, the unified income and asset declaration, must be filed for each household member. The DURP is also required for the workers' hostels.
Rankings
Applicants compete in the ranking of the municipality where they or their partner live or work; for homes in their district community they also enter a supra-municipal ranking. Rankings are separate by municipality, by language group and by category (people with physical disabilities, older people, particular social categories, general), applying the proportional system; citizens of non-EU states and stateless persons are treated as a separate language group. Admitted applications are valid for three years and rankings are updated on 1 April and 1 October.
