Sections: Schools · Universities · Admissions · Scholarships · Language courses · Degrees & recognition

  • Università della Valle d'Aosta – Université de la Vallée d'Aoste – non-state, promoted by the Region, based in Aosta; courses with a strong French component and double degrees with French and Swiss universities
  • Conservatoire de la Vallée d'Aoste – higher institute of music studies, Aosta
  • Higher technical institute (ITS) and regional vocational training

Where and in which language

The offer is limited: many Aosta Valley residents study in Turin (University and Polytechnic, about two hours away) or in France and Switzerland. Univda is small, with direct contact between staff and students; knowledge of French is useful and in some courses necessary.

Grants

Student support has no separate agency: scholarships, housing contributions and grants for students outside the valley are paid by the Region (education and educational policies structure) through annual calls published on the regional portal, while Univda runs its own services (canteen, partner accommodation). Criteria are based on the university ISEE as in the rest of Italy.
