Shopping and markets
The covered municipal market on viale Monza, reopened by the Comune with food stalls and kitchens, is the reference point; via Padova and viale Monza have grocers, butchers and minimarkets of many communities (South American, North African, Chinese, Bengali, Filipino) with long hours and low prices, plus chain supermarkets. The weekly street markets of Municipio 2, with streets, days and hours, are in the official Comune list cited.
Green space and libraries
Parco Trotter, a former trotting racecourse and then the open-air school Casa del Sole, is the neighbourhood park: with the ring of the old track, playgrounds and dog areas; it is closed to the public during school hours because the school still operates inside. To the north, beyond via Padova, is the walking and cycling path along the Naviglio Martesana. The municipal libraries of reference are Crescenzago (viale don Orione 19) and Venezia (via Frisi), alongside very active neighbourhood spaces and associations.
Health, schools, services
Health: ATS Città Metropolitana di Milano for GP registration and local services; there are no hospitals in the quarter, the nearest being the Fatebenefratelli in the centre and Niguarda hospital (M5 from Zara). Schools: state nursery, primary and middle schools in the quarter, including Casa del Sole in Parco Trotter, with a high share of pupils of foreign origin, and the Liceo classico Carducci on via Beroldo; catchment enrolment on the Comune website.
