What it contains and when it is reviewed
GoNest's Italy dataset was first published in October 2026 with the country page, the twenty regional pages, the twenty regional-capital pages and sixteen neighbourhoods of Rome and Milan. Every topic page declares the sources used, with the date they were consulted, and a planned review date: six months for topics with prices and procedures (costs, housing, work, transport, daily paperwork, entry, tax, health), twelve months for identity, climate, culture, tourism, events and safety. The four sensitive topics (entry, business, finance, health) always carry a notice inviting readers to check the official source or a professional.
How we handle data
Numbers are not written into the text but shown in data blocks that report value, reference period, source and status (valid, estimated, expired, not applicable). Numeric sources are exclusively official statistics and public tariffs: ISTAT for population, foreign residents, employment and household spending; the Agenzia delle Entrate's Real Estate Market Observatory for rents and prices; ISPRA and SNPA for climate and air quality; AGCOM for connectivity; ENAC for airports; transport companies and universities for fares and enrolments. Where no official figure exists the block shows 'no data': this is a deliberate choice, not a gap to be filled with estimates.
How to report corrections
Anyone who finds an error, a dead link, a changed rule or an outdated price can use the 'Report an error' button on every page, indicating the sentence and, if possible, the correct source. Reports are checked by the editorial team against the official source before any change; the updated page shows the new review date. We do not publish corrections based on personal experience without a verifiable source, but we use them to decide what to check.
