Transport: Arriva Udine city buses with contactless payment and ZTL with electronic gates
Udine's city buses (Arriva Udine, within the TPL FVG system) are paid for on board by contactless card or wallet. In the centre, since 14 July 2026 cameras at the gates enforce the ZTL; permits are requested online. The monthly pass price is in the data.

City buses
The TPL FVG website lists Arriva Udine among the urban services with contactless purchase and validation: on city buses you can buy a ticket with a contactless credit or debit card or with wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, and validate paper QR-code tickets at the on-board reader; the TPL FVG app tells you whether a paper ticket has already been validated. The site has sections on tickets, passes, ticket offices and a travel planner with timetables, routes and fares.
ZTL and pedestrian area
The municipality publishes the map of the ZTL (limited traffic zone) and pedestrian area and three regulations dated July 2026: Pedestrian Area, ZTL Zona Centro and ZTL Zona Viola. Cameras at the gates officially came into operation on 14 July 2026. The access permit is requested through an online service; a news item of 12 August 2026 mentions over 3,000 passes already active. For digital access (CIE, SPID) the municipality points to its Punti Digitale Facile. Hours and eligible categories are in the regulations: read them before driving in.
