Municipal IRPEF surcharge
According to the Department of Finance, for 2026 the Comune di Taranto confirmed, with resolution no. 7 of 28 January 2026, the municipal surcharge on IRPEF (personal income tax) at a single rate of 0.8%, with no exemption threshold listed. Until 2022 taxable incomes up to 15,000 euros had a zero rate; since 2023 the single rate applies with no exempt band.
Resident parking
Kyma Mobilità, which runs paid parking, issues residents of zones A, B, C, H and I with paid bays, and people domiciled there while resident in another municipality, a permit for one owned car per household: it is valid only in the zone of residence and does not reserve a space. The permit requires an annual fee, which is waived if the application is made on the online platform; a second car in the household can have a reduced monthly pass. On blue-line street bays parking is free from 8.30 pm to 8.30 am, and the park-and-ride car parks are free for holders of a Kyma daily ticket or monthly pass.
TARI
TARI (the waste tax) is managed by the Comune's Tax Office (via Anfiteatro 72); collection, transport and street cleaning are contracted to Kyma Ambiente (formerly AMIU). The tariff has a fixed part, linked to the floor area of the home, and a variable part. It is paid in three advance instalments and a balance, by PagoPA or, at no cost, with the F24 form.
Bus passes
Kyma Mobilità bus passes are personal and electronic, on a named card, and valid on all lines at any time: the monthly pass from the first to the last day of the month, the annual pass from the first day of the starting month to the last day of the eleventh following month.
