The UNESCO site

UNESCO inscribed the Late Baroque Towns of the Val di Noto in 2002, eight towns rebuilt after the 1693 earthquake, Ragusa among them. For Ragusa the site covers the entire old town; the Ibla part has a detailed plan and a special regional law for restoration.
