Culture and traditions

The municipality presents the Museo della Vita e delle Tradizioni Popolari Sarde, permanently open since 1976, as the largest ethnographic museum in Sardinia. Its rooms include one on the Barbagia Carnival, with masks and costumes from Orotelli, Ottana, Mamoiada and Orani.

Lollove

Lollove is a hamlet a few kilometres from Nuoro, described by the municipality as a small village where visitors are immersed in a timeless age.

The municipality

The town hall is at via Dante 44. The municipal organisation is divided into sectors (for example land planning and management, environment and urban hygiene; municipal police and civil protection) and the municipality hosts a Europe Direct desk. The pages consulted do not list neighbourhoods or the patron saint: ask the municipality for those.
