Civil protection
The "Protezione civile" section of the municipal portal gathers notices: on the occasion of an orange alert for weather-hydrogeological and hydraulic risk issued by the Region, the mayor closed schools and cancelled outdoor events. In 2026 mayoral ordinance no. 5 set the provisions to reduce fire risk across the municipal territory; in April 2026 the municipality received a mention as a "Comune virtuoso in Protezione civile" (a civil-protection model municipality).
Heatwaves
The ASP of Caltanissetta publishes the 2026 Local Operational Plan for heatwaves and points to the Ministry of Health's heat bulletins and to the Sicilian Civil Protection's alerts.
